Note that this will be an unguided pre-tour excursion. It was designed for guests who feel comfortable using our thorough instructions to help them navigate on their own. Last year's Full Tour game in Nagoya was canceled, so we wanted to provide this opportunity. Rather than attend the tour's Welcome Dinner in Tokyo, you will attend the Yakult Swallows vs Chunichi Dragons game at Vantelin Dome Nagoya. We will visit Ichiro's youth sandlot field and learn about his childhood training regimen, take some swings in the batting cages where he refined his legendary swing, eat lunch at his favorite sushi restaurant that is adorned with Ichiro memorabilia (dare you try the massive Ichiro Roll??), and visit the museum attached to his childhood home that houses his astonishing personal baseball collection.  This package includes all of those activities, lunch, and one additional single-occupancy hotel night in Nagoya.

The Full Tour and Segment 2 end in Nagoya, which is a short flight (or slightly longer train ride) to Tokyo. We recommend booking your flight back home from Tokyo (Haneda or Narita) in the late afternoon or evening and flying from Nagoya straight to your departure airport; that will be simpler than taking a train from Nagoya to Tokyo Station and then making your way to your departure airport.  

Our first suggestion is to look into adding the Nagoya-Tokyo flight to your existing itinerary to and from Japan. In some cases, that is very inexpensive and may allow you to check your bags in Nagoya for the whole journey back home rather than having to retrieve and re-check them in Tokyo. We have a recommended travel agent to help with any of your flights.
